WATERJET PROJECTS
Our local prison was looking for a contractor to replace rusted door frames on the prison shower doors. Barclay Mechanical worked in conjunction with Rob Lewis Construction to replace the door frames.
Although the shower prison doors are made out of non-rusting, stainless steel, the door frames were originally made out of carbon steel. Over time, the frames started to rust. Rob Lewis Construction placed stainless steel wraps around the carbon door frames. But the additional layer of stainless steel made the door frames too thick and the door no longer fit in the space by only 3/8th of an inch.
Barclay Mechanical helped with this project by trimming the prison doors by 3/8th of an inch. Trimming off such a small amount can be extremely difficult, but with our waterjet table, we were able to do this project with ease. Once we trimmed all of the prison doors, we welded a new cap plate.
Whenever there is a project that involves Intrinsic cuts on metals, Barclay Mechanical can help you by using our waterjet table.
