Full-Time Shop Fabricator/Welder
Barclay Mechanical is looking for skilled welders and fabricators to produce steel assemblies at our new manufacturing facility in Ephraim, Utah. Manufactured goods will include sheet metal and plate steel assemblies such as filter housings, hoppers, cyclones and tanks as well as structural assemblies such as structural steel, catwalks, stairs and handrail.
Candidates will be required to follow shop drawings to layout/fit-up components, weld carbon steel primarily using wire feed processes and operate machinery and power tools to put together steel assemblies with great attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a metal fabrication shop, present a positive mental attitude, display leadership skills and follow instructions both individually and as a team member.
Pay will be $26-32/hr 40-50hr wks, benefited. or more an hour plus many benefits. The field Superintendent must be willing to travel and work at the job site.
Qualifications

- The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a metal fabrication shop or field experience as a fitter, structural welder or ironworker.
- Previous experience as a welder using MIG and/or STICK processes.
- Knowledge of different types of metal and the appropriate fabrication and welding processes
- Experience using powered shop tools and hand tools which may include: shear, press brake, bandsaw, iron worker, plate rolls, angle rolls, tube bender, plasma cutter, oxy-acetylene torch, angle grinder, forklift, telehandler, scissor lift and overhead crane.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, isometric drawings and P&IDs.
- Experience laying out assemblies including proper squaring, leveling, measuring and order of operations.
- Positive mental attitude as well as the ability to follow instructions both individually and as a team member, and with great attention to detail
- Knowledge and use of personal protective clothing including hard hat, face-shield, safety glasses, gloves etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs by yourself
- Bonus experience or skills may include: TIG welding, certified equipment operator, certified rigger, Class A CDL, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, leadership skills

- Read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings to obtain measurements
- Fabricate components using standard metal shop tooling
- Layout assemblies for welding
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or welding method based on requirements
- Weld components and assemblies using multiple welding processes and positions
- Use equipment properly and in a way that does not compromise safety

Field Senior Foreman
We are looking for an experienced foreman, with at least 3 years of experience managing a team of welders or fitters as their foreman. This person must be willing to travel and work outside of our home base office.
This person must know how to fill our JSAs, read blueprints, communicate with clients, write change orders, order materials, do project management with foremen and welders and work alongside them if they need an extra hand. This will NOT be a desk job. You will be on the field with your team each day.
The foreman must be willing to travel for work. Pay could be as high as $32 an hour depending on experience.


Field Superintendent
We are looking for an experienced field superintendent. Someone who has had at least 3 years managing construction jobs and its foreman. This person must also be willing to fulfill the need of both foreman and superintendent if he/she is the only leadership on the job.
This person must know how to fill our JSAs, read blueprints, communicate with clients, write change orders, order materials, do project management with foremen and welders and work alongside them if they need an extra hand. This will NOT be a desk job. You will be on the field with your team each day.
Pay will be $35 or more an hour plus many benefits. The field Superintendent must be willing to travel and work at the job site.

Roles
Superintendent Careers
Oversee entire projects. Manage multiple foreman and clients’ expectation. Assure budgets, safety expectations, schedules, and workforce all meet project plans and expectations.
Foreman Careers
Manage a team of 15+ welders and pipefitters. Report to Superintendent. Supply team with drawings and answer questions to team about project. Work with (and sometime as) QC to assure project is completed correct and on time.
Pipe Welder/ Pipe Fitter Careers
Pipe Welder must be able to weld in all positions with Mig, Tig, and Stick and pass 100% x-ray on all diameters of both carbon and stainless steel pipe. Experience with other alloys is a plus.
Pipe Fitter must understand mathmatics, geometry and mechanical construction.
