Processing Facility Expansion

Barclay Mechanical did a processing facility expansion for a gold plating company.

This expansion gave our client new gold plating options. It included fabrication and installation of new tanks, stairs, platforms, and process piping. The process piping carries materials such as water, air, and chemicals.

One of the main reasons our client said they chose Barclay Mechanical for this project was because we were not only the industrial mechanical contractor, but we were also the general contractor.

In the role as the general contractor, we ensured every needed thing to expand the facility was done and done right. The majority of the project involved industrial mechanical work, which we did. The work that didn’t fall under our realm of expertise we hired out to sub-contractors. Including electricians, plumbers, concrete masons, etc. We found and hired the subcontractors, as well as oversaw their work quality and timeliness.

We have seen an increase in processing facilities that are in need of an upgrade, an expansion, or a relocation. And these companies are looking for us! A specific type of general contractor who personally does the majority of the work, but also takes away the stress from the client by hiring subcontractors.
